A week ago I had the opportunity to attend the grand opening of the Bretteville House in central Aalborg. A mix of students and teachers from Aalborg University, and local entrepreneurs all interested in, and working with, new technology have had the opportunity to move into the beautiful newly renovated house on Brettevillesgade.
Betty Li Meldgaard showed us around and introduced us to a number of very interesting people and projects. Her colleague, Lars Holmgaard, at the Forskningscenter for Interaktive Digitale Medier, InDiMedia, discussed the "U-drive-IT" — User-driven Innovation Transfer — project with us. A number of Nordic universities are already onboard and it looks as if I will be able to participate as well. Very exciting!
The student projects we saw were impressive as well and I'm looking forward to going there again at the end of November for the "Brugergeneret tv - et aktuelt og historisk perspektiv" conference, where I'm going to talk about user-created content in Second Life.
