Reading, Reading, Reading...

Right now I'm reading in preparation for a Gender and Technology course I will teach later in the autumn, while at the same time trying to find theory that might be useful to me in my dissertation work as well as - more short term - to the paper I'm going to present at the League of Worlds conference in Boone in North Carolina in about six week's time.

Right now I have Kate Hayle's Writing Machines, The Cyborg Handbook (ed. Chris Hables Gray), Sex/Machine (ed. Patrick D. Hopkins), and Michael S. Kimmel's The Gendered Society on my desk.

I've never been good at reading at work, but I hope I'll get the hang of it. Too many distractions. And somehow I enjoy being at home on the sofa while reading...
